We have been providing the services free of cost to the rural community of Nepal to those who are not aware of their conditions and even those who are most deprived of treatment despite the symptoms. Many of the asymptomatic and the population who are at higher risk never reach to the health sector and land up into the hospital with complication in which case, the management becomes critical, expensive and not affordable. Considering all these things, we conduct screening programs over the community of eastern Nepal, one community at a time in order to timely manage the disease before the dawn. And till date, we have completed our screening program in Dharan city and neighbouring areas of Sunsari district, Damak and Surungan Jhapa Disctricts and currently conducting in different wards and villages of Mechinagar municipality and Damak municipality in Jhapa district.

We have a screening form under KHDC program, where laboratory report of each individual is documented. The investigation parameters are basically the indicators for chronic disease condition, whose progression we aim to halt. As the name indicates, KHDC program screening is done for Kidney disease, Hypertension, Diabetes, Heart Disease and stroke and others.

The investigations done under different heading are ABCDE:

A for Albumin in urine

B for Blood sugar

C for serum Creatinine and cholesterol

D for Diabetes and Lipid

D for diabetes profile (Fasting Sugar and HbA1c)

E for Estimated creatinine clearance

General information like demographics, lifestyle and medical history are collected. The same day following investigations are done withdrawing early morning blood sample and urine sample;
